The Annual NSS Camp 2019-20 of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) held from 29th October to 4th November, 2019 at St Joseph Higher Primary School, Thaccode, Moodbidri.

The Camp was inaugurated by Rev Fr Naveen Prakash D'Souza, Pariest Priest, Holy Cross Church, Thaccode and blessed by Rev Fr Praveen Martis, SJ, Principal of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Rev Fr Dionysius Vaz, SJ, Rector of St Aloysius Institutions, presided over the programme. Mrs Winnifred Pinto, Headmistress, St Joseph Hr Pry. School, Thaccode, Mr Manoj Alvarez, President, Hosabettu Grama Panchayat, Mr Roshan Pinto, Vice-President, Parish Council, Thaccode, Mr Francis Mendonca, Parish Council, Thaccode and Sister M Lydwin Jyothi, Head, Genazono Bethany Convent, Thaccode were the Chief Guests.

During the 7 days of the Camp, several educational sessions, agricultural visit, trekking, cultural programmes, shramadhan and yoga training were conducted. Besides this, the following special programmes were conducted:

4.    Environmental protection and cleanliness
5.    Cultural Programmes for the localites
6.    Road Repairing
7.    Simple and Friendly Life
8.    Information about Health
9.    Census about the Condition of Village Women
10.    Awareness on Dengue and Malaria Eradication
11.    Talk on “Youth and the Crisis” by Fr Felix Lobo
12.    Talk on “Role of Youth in the Development of Society” by Sri Jason Pereira

The Valedictory Programme was held on November 4, 2019 at 10.30 a.m. Dr Alwyn D’Sa, Controller of Examinations, St Aloysius College,  Mrs Winnifred Pinto, Headmistress, St Joseph Hr Pry. School, Thaccode and Sr. Filfida, Genazono Bethany Convent, Thaccode were the Chief Guests. Rev Fr Pradeep Antony SJ, Director of Arrupe Block, presided over the programme.

The entire 7 days camp was organized and directed by the NSS Officers, Mr Alwin D'Souza, Ms Preema V Tauro, Mr Avinash , Mrs Vidya Kumari and Sajith Nikith D'Costa, III B.Com. along with the NSS student leaders – Sparsha, Darshan, Shreya and Jeeva.
