Facilities
  • Adequate shelter and clothing and food
  • They are sent to the local parish school where they not only learn .  academic subjects but also learn to mix socially with other children from normal families.
  • Besides schooling the children are given training at home in computers as  well as in singing and dancing and playing musical instruments.
  • A concerted effort is being made to train the children to speak in English.
  • Medical care when they are sick
  • The children are involved in maintaining a kitchen garden and fruit trees as well as dairy, piggery and poultry.
  • Those who finish school are sent to college.
  • Some are sent to the Technical Training Institute.  This training will enable them to earn a living when they leave the Home.
  • A councillor is provided to advice and support the children. We trust that with this training when the youngsters leave the Home at the age of around 18 they are well equipped to  be on their own, as responsible citizens inspired by human values.   Those who have graduated from the Home and have no relations to go to, have been helped to get employment. These are provided free quarters at the Halfway Home in the Augustine Colony, Olavinahalli.
