B.A. Jounalism Internal Assessment
I. Internal Assessment shall consist of two tests for ten marks in each paper
II. Media Related Assignments / Practicals for 15 marks in each paper
III. Attendance shall be considered for 5 marks as per the College rules
IV. All students should maintain PRACTICAL RECORD of Media related assignments and practicals and submit the same for evaluation by the respective teachers. A detailed note is enclosed herewith for reference.
 
Paper – I: Introduction to Mass Communication
Assignment on coverage of local issues in the media – Print or Radio or TV: 1 x 5 = 5 Marks
Two assignments on news display / reporting & radio programme: 2 x 5 = 10 Marks
 
Paper – II: Media History
One Assignment on origin and development of Indian Media (any one): 1 x 5 = 5 marks
Two assignments on news display / reporting & radio programme: 2 x 5 = 10;
 
Paper - III: Reporting
Printed Newsletter: 1 x 5 = 5 Marks
Assignment on radio programme production: 1 x 5 = 5 Marks
Assignment on Interview or news reporting: 1 x 5 = 5 Marks;
 
Paper - IV: Writing For Media
Feature or Article, radio programme, Review - 1 each: 3 x 5 = 15 Marks
 
Paper - V: Editing Practice
Editing tele-printer copies/Press notes; practice journal; radio program: 3 x 5 = 15 Marks
 
Paper – VI: Advertising
Preparation of Advertising Copy; TV New editing & 1 Assignment: 3 x 5 = 15 Marks
 
Paper – VII: Public Relations
A report on Community Relations / Public Relations activities of any one organization / institution / company - 1: 1 X 5 = 5 Marks
