Grammar Skills:
Parts of Speech/ tenses &time/ remedial exercises on basic high school grammar/ sentence types/ “DO” insertions in negative and interrogative sentences/ Reported speech/ Passivization/ “IT” & “THERE” insertion at sentence initial position/ Degrees of comparison/ Rhetorical patterns.

Reading Skills:
Reading practice in contemporary prose & fiction to check & assess their speed and comprehension/news stories from newspapers & magazines followed by group discussion/loud reading exercises for listening tasks and immediate assessment of comprehension skills.

Speaking Skills:
Self introduction/ introducing the other/ expressing likes & dislikes/ expressing opinions/ Functions of English/ English for specific purposes/ simulated conversation drills and practice in specific context driven ambience/ basic negotiations at the Railway Station, doctors, grocers/ vegetable market/ college office/ government offices/ telephoning Skills/ Coversation etiquette/ reporting events/ introducing guests/ compering programmes etc.

Effective use of the language laboratory for pronunciation skills & drills.
