Rules and Regulations
1. Routine

With the exception of Sundays and Holidays marked in the calendar, Classes are held daily from 4.50pm to 8.30pm.

The bell is rung five minutes earlier as warning to students to enter the classroom and occupy their places. At the second bell, the lecturers enter the classrooms while the students stand in respectful silence to receive them.

At the commencement of the first hour each day, all pray in silence to obtain God's light and help. When the attendance roll is called, each one in turn rises and responds audibly and politely. "Present Sir"/"Present Madam" is the form of response which is recommended.

During the lecture students shall occupy the places allotted to them. The lecturer's permission is needed for moving away from one's place or for leaving the class room.

2. Attendance and Examinations

Students should be punctual and regular to classes. A minimum of 75% of attendance in each subject is mandatory to appear for the Annual University Examinations. Irregularity and absence from examinationsand at the reopening of classes after the holidays will not be tolerate and in any such case students will not be admitted until their parents meet the principal personally and explain the causes of absence. The  names of students who are absent continuously for two weeks with out prior notice will be struck off from the attendance register.

3. Good Manners

All are expected to be neatly dressed in accordance with the rules of approved etiquette. They should be polite in their conversation, with other students and respectful towards members of the staff.

Students should observe silence in the library and the reading room. Courtesy demands that they should avoid being noisy in and near the College Office, when reading notices and while classes are in progress. At the office they should proceed to the counters in an orderly manner and speak to the clerks in a subdued voice.

4. Some points of Discipline
  1. Ragging is a cognizable offence and those who indulge in it even in a 'Frienddly' way, or encourage it will be handed over to the law as per G.O. Ed122 URC 96 dated 16-1-1997 and will face immediate dismissal from the college. No justification in this regard is acceptable.
  2. Students are forbidden to consume alcohol or use tobacco products in any form in the College premises. A student found under the influence of alcohol will be summarily dismissed.
  3. When the College organizes any open air functions or activities, students should bring their outside friends.
  4. The College does not hold itself responsible for the conduct of its students outside its premises. In justice to itself however, it takes cognizance of any serious misconduct of its students committed outside its presents and should any serious charge be fairly substantiated, the guilty shall be punished according to the gravity of the offence.
  5. Students should not take part in political agitation directed against the authority of the Government. They are also forbidden to engage prominently in ay public movement without permission from the Principal. They are further expected to observe all the disciplinary regulations which the College may frame from time to time.
  6. Students are forbidden to organise picnics, tours and excursions without the prior permission of the Principal.
  7. The College will not stand responsible for the loss of any letter, whatever be the nature of correspondence.
  8. The writing of examinations is a sacred duty of a student. Regarding examinations and Internal Assessment Marks the College follows the directive of the University. Students are required to take the exams seriously. Absence from exams will have to be justified by parents in person. Recommendation to the University Examination will depend upon the progress of the student as shown by his/her examinations, conduct and attendance.
  9. Students are not permitted to use cellular phones, mobile phones and pagers within the College building. Such items, if confiscated, will not be returned. And possessing such items while writing the examination even if they are switched off, is a malpractice and such students will be fined and debarred from the examinations.
  10. No student is allowed to associate himself/herself with any political parties.
  11. Insubordination, habitual inattention, neglect of study, obscenity in word or action, etc., are unbecoming of a student and can be punished by suspension or dismissal.
  12. Students are advised to wear a decent dress. they should be polite in their conversation with other students and respectful towards members of the staff.
  13. Students should cultivate good manners and follow the Aloysian ideal. Hard work, regular attendance at class and systematic study will help one realize one's goals.
  14. Evening College has a dedicated staff ready to assist students besides the class hours. Academic help may be sought from the staff member from 4.00p.m. on all working days.
  15. The College has a counselling facility for students. While those who seek counsel may approach the Counsellors, other may be referred  to them for poor performance or delinquent behaviour.
  16. Those who come to the college by four wheelers, motor cycles, scooters and mopeds should have a valid driving license and insurance. To avoid noise pollution and disturbance, the vehicles should have efficient silencers. Students are allowed to park their vehicles only in the place allotted to them.
  17. Every student should possess an Identity Card which should be produced whenever asked for by any staff member of the College, specially when dealing with the office and library.

5. Merit Certificates

Students who have 75% attendance, earn 60% marks and who are not absent for any examination will be awarede merit certificates at the end of academic year.

6. Co-education

The College is co-educational. The purpose of bringing growing young men and women together post school is to facilitate healthy emotional growth while the intellect is trained in secular knowledge.

However, given the fact that there is a mutual attraction between the sexes, our students are cautioned that their mutual relations should be open, healthy and cordial.

Exclusive pairing within the premises or on campus and eve teasing would be considered serious offences and liable to punishment of dismissal.

7. Staff - Student Rapport

Our lives are shaped very much by the people with whom we constantly interact, and here it will be your teachers. You have an excellent Staff in this College; make good use of their experience and knowledge through constant personal contact both inside and outside the classroom. Today more than ever, close ties between staff and students is the only way to counteract the many problems arising from the impersonal atmosphere prevailing in much of our College education. This would of course mean that you are willing to be guided by your teachers.

Many of our staff members have undergone training to help you not only with your academic difficulties but with your personal and emotional problems. You may always approach them for guidance, not only to help you solve your problems but also to become more effective in the way you function. Each class is given a Class Animator who will meet his wards regularly and also conduct well planned programmes to give them self confidence, healthy inter-personal relationships and enable the effective utilization of their talents and abilities.

8. Co-Curricular Activities

A good part of our education, the broadening of our horizons, inculcation of values, learning to relate to and to deal with others, exercises of participative leadership etc., takes place thought co-curricular activities. The College provides rich opportunities in this regard an dwe have a dedicated staff who willingly give a lot of their time for the benefit of the students.

Fifty marks are assigned to C.C. and E.C. activities. These marks are recorded in the marks card along with the marks of curricular subjects. Every student must join any one the associations and must actively participate in all its activities.

Library Rules
1. The Library and Reading Room will be kept open from 2.30p.m. to 8.30p.m on all working days.

2. Membership of the Library is by Borrower's Card available at the library

3. Admission to the Library is strictly by Identity Card

4. Books are issued for a period of seven days only. A fine of Rs2/- is imposed for every additional day's delay thereafter. Text books borrowed from the U.G.C. Book Bank should be returned before the end of the academic yeaer i.e. the month of Fegruary.

5. Not more than two Library books may be in the possession of a student at any time.

6. Students who borrow books are held responsible for them and for any damage done to them. They may not write or make any mark in them.

7. Books borrowed from the Library may not be lent to any one, in or out of the College. The violation incurs penalty or suspension of privileges.

8. Strict Silence must be observed in the Library and the Reading Room
Fee Regulations
1. All fees shall be paid at the time of admission

2. Fees shall be paid not later than the day indicated in the Calendar. Defaulters shall pay a fine of Rs2/- per day.

3. A receipt signed and dated by the cashier should be claimed for every payment of fees made.

4. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
