Message to Hostelites
Dear Student,

You are one of the few privileged students to be admitted to St Aloysius College Gents Hostel. While it is a privilege, consider this as a responsibility and as an opportunity. You have a grave responsibility to live up to the great values and expectations St Aloysius Institutions stand for.

This is also is a precious opportunity given to you to grow in all spheres of life, to become a better, responsible, mature person who will one day become a light to others, become a person for others. To enable your all-round and integral growth, the Hostel has formulated certain rules and regulations that you are bound to follow faithfully and to perfection. Therefore you are asked to read the calendar very carefully and understand every detail found in it.

Remember that you are admitted to the Hostel only on the condition that you agree to abide by all the rules and regulations of the Hostel and that your parents, along with your local guardian, stand guarantee that you do so. Ignorance of the rules and regulations mentioned in this book will not be considered as a justification for any mistakes committed by you. Admission to the Hostel is valid only for a year. You will have to seek fresh admission to the next academic year.

Admission into the Hostel for a second or a third year depends upon your behavior, attitude, character and performance in studies. Students who have failed in their examinations are ineligible to seek fresh admissions to the Hostel. Preserve this calendar with you till the end of the academic year. Read it regularly and internalize what is contained in it. Make use of all the facilities that are provided in the Hostel, grab the opportunities that come your way. Time is precious and therefore do not indulge in wasteful activities that distract you from your purpose and goals. I wish you all the very best as you begin a new year in St Aloysius Gents Hostel.

May God bless you.
