Infrastructure Facilities

The facilities provided by the College cater to the intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual well being of the student.

The Library To encourage and facilitate learning from around the word and in a variety of subjects, the College has over the years built a library with great care. The library is equipped with computer and scanner facilities and has over 60,000 books and receives over a hundred journals. This library is housed in the Administrative Block.  
 
Laboratories The College boasts of spacious and well equipped laboratories for students of Botany, Chemistry, Electronics, Microbiology, Physics, and Zoology. The Laboratory of Applied Biology and Environmental Sciences offers research facilities for Ph.D. In addition, the College has The Rondano Bio-Diversity Research Laboratory.  
 
Computer Center Well-equipped, air-conditioned laboratories in the Computer Centre are provided with about sighty terminals. Broadband connectivity is also provided. A Computer harware laboratory is attached to the Centre. 
 
Audio-Visual Room The college offers media services through the spacious Audio-Visual room located in the Coelho Block. The Audio-Visual room provides auido and video facilities with instruction materials. Tele-Conferencing facility is also available.  
 
Games and Sports The College encourages sports by ensuring that well-maintained grounds for Hockey, Football and Cricket and courts for Volley-Ball, Basket-Ball, Tennis, Kabaddi, Badminton and Throw-Ball are available to students.
 
Hostels The college provides hostel facilities to both male and female students. Students who have come from out of Mangalore and need to live close to the college can apply for into the College hostels. The St. Aloysius College Gents Hostel and the St. Aloysius College Ladies Hostel are governed by rules and regulations framed by the Government. Outstation students may approach other hostels, only after refusal of admission in our college hostel. Students are required to submit a letter from their parents to the Principal approving their stay outside. 
 
The Chapel The College Chapel is centrally located. The famous paintings from 1900 by Italian Brother Moscheni in the Chapel that had suffered the ravages of Mangalore's humidity, was recently restored. People of all religions find it a place of inspiration, personal reflection and prayer. There are regular services for Catholics. The Holy Mass is celebrated on every Friday at 12:30 noon for the students. Prayer service is conducted on every Thursday at 12:30 noon.
