Inauguration of School Houses and All Clubs
This year ‘The School Houses & Clubs’ were inaugurated on the 2nd of July 2011 in the High School Hall. The program began with a prayer song led by the school choir. The members of the Gavel Club (i.e. Gavellians) compered the programme.  The dignitaries of the programme, The Chief Guest of the function Mr.Kadri Navneeth Shetty, a old student of the school, our headmaster Rev. Fr.Gilbert Saldhana, Asst. Headmaster Mr. Joseph D’souza were welcomed by Master Shravith Shetty, the SPL.
The program was inaugurated by the lighting of lamps by the dignitaries on the dais and the presidents of the various clubs.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest said,” High School Life is the most cherished part of one’s life so one must not only devote oneself to studies and academics but also to other extra-co curricular activities”. He also narrated a story depicting the importance of extra-co curricular activities.

Later on the Headmaster administered the oath to the Leaders as well as the members of all the four Houses.

Soon after the administration of the oath, the members of the various clubs exhibited their talents. The members of the “NCC Air wing” performed a “March Past”. Some of the members of “The Scouts and Guides” displayed some First Aid tactics and explained about them. The “Kannada Sahithya Sanga” presented their talents through a Song. The Science academy through a practical demonstration, educated the students. 

The Dance Club thrilled everyone one with their exhilarating dance performance.  The Consumer Club, ECO Club, CLC & Altar Boys and health club displayed their club activities through a skit. The members of the Dramatics Association also enlivened the students with their stage performance.

The Interact Club, Philatelic Club, UNESCO club, Art Club and the IT Club brought the students up-to-date about their club activities through a PowerPoint Presentation. The Quiz club tested the students’ General knowledge through a Quiz. The College band entertained the students with a Band Song and The Beat Club made the students’ day with their performance.

Later the Headmaster Rev.Fr.Gilbert Saldhana said, “All work and no play makes one a dull boy”. He recounted an incident of an athlete who was struck by lightning but with his hard work and sheer determination was once again able to get back on his feet. He urged the students to have that determination and perseverance in life not only to academics but also to other co-curricular activities.

Master Shawn Lobo, the ASPL delivered the Vote of thanks. The programme came to an end with the singing of the national anthem.
