We envisage preparing the students to respond effectively to the emerging social realities which call for professionally qualified human resources, with specialised knowledge and skills.

Course Content:
This course is spread over four semesters which includes theory and field practicum
Course Highlights
Orientation
An intensive one week orientation programme is organized for students at the beginning of the course to help instil the methods and ethos of social work education and profession.

Rural Camp
A village exposure camp of 5 days is organized for Ist year MSW students where they get a hands-on experience of Rural & Tribal realities. They also study and understand the social  cultural political and economic aspects of their lives.

Study tours
Specilization based study tours are organized to the different parts of the country.

Forum activities
Specialization based forums focusing on relevant issues conducts seminars, workshops & conferences at the state/ regional levels for both students and practitioners.

Extension lectures
Lectures are held on from time to time by experts from various fields to enhance the information of students.

Sports Day
Annual sports day for students conducts various competitions like March- past,  tug-of-war, athletics and other events.

Special occasions
Festivals, birthdays, teachers day and farewell for the final year students are celebrated to inculcate a feeling of oneness and strengthen bonding between students.
