St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru hosted its annual cultural fest “Aloysian Fest 2021” on 23-3-2021 in the Mother Teresa Peace Park of the College. The fest was inaugurated by Sri Prabhu Mundkur, Cine Actor and an Alumnus of the College.

Addressing the gathering, Mundkur recalled his days at St Aloysius College in 2006 and said “St Aloysius College taught me a lot. I made use of all the opportunities that came my way. I urge students to keep pushing your limits and take calculated risk. I will also shoot my upcoming movie ‘Murphy’ in this campus. I am co-directing the movie.”

Fr Melwin Pinto, rector, St Aloysius Institutions said, “It is not easy to get into movies. Prabhu Mundkur took the risk and today he has a lot of projects. Students need to pursue their dreams like him.”

Principal of St Aloysius College Dr Praveen Martis, cultural secretary Paloma Rodrigues, Richard Gonsalves, John Edward D’Silva and others were present.

Several colleges affiliated to Mangalore University participated in this fest.

Fest coordinator Dr Ishwara Bhat S welcomed the gathering, Student council president Gavin Abner Pinto proposed the vote of thanks. Royston Lasrado and Carissa Rego compered the event.

During the Fest, an exhibition was organised by the students which was inaugurated by the chief guest, Mr Prabhu Mundkur.
