St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru in association with D.K. District PU College Chemistry Lecturers’ Forum organized “EKA-VISION  – The Future of Bright Minds” to celebrate the International Year of Periodic Table of Chemical Elements on 6th September 2019 at LCRI Hall. This programme is sponsored by STAR College Scheme, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India.

Dr Hemant Pandey, Scientist ‘F’, Head Chemistry Unit, Herbal Medicine Division, Defence Institute of Bioenergy Research, Uttarakhand was the Chief Guest. Rev. Fr Dionysius Vaz, SJ, Rector of St Aloysius Institutions, presided over the programme. Rev. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, Principal, Convenor of the Programme, Ms Sahana, Dr Ronald Nazareth, Co-ordinator for STAR College Scheme, Dr John D’Silva, Director of Xavier Block and Dr Richard Gonsalves,Director of LCRI Block were present on the dais.

There were various competitions conducted for PU students. 43 colleges took part in the competitions.
During the programme, Dr Hemant Pandey, Scientist ‘F’, was  honoured for this meritorious achievements in the field of medicine.

Dr A.M. Narahari, Registrar, Dr Dennis Fernandes, Director of Admin Block and Science Staff members were present for the programme.

Dr Ronald Nazareth welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Olinda Fernandes, III B.Sc. compered the programme. Sahana proposed the vote of thanks.
