The Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Physics of St Aloysius College in association with the Association of Physics Teachers of Mangalore University (APTMU) organised a National Conference on 'Novel Materials and Devices for Future Applications' on 18th February 2020 at LF Rasquinha Hall.

Prof Mohammed Hussain K Rabinal, Professor of Physics, Karnatak University, Dharwad was the Chief Guest. Dr Paul Joseph from NIT Warangal inaugurated the conference. Dr A. P. Radhakrishna, President of APTMU, was the guest of honour. Rev. Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, Rector, St Aloysius College Institutions presided over the function. Rev. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Principal, Dr Ronald Nazareth, Co-ordinator of Star College Scheme, Convenor of the programme, Dr Chandrashekara Shetty, Sri Lawrence Pinto, HOD of Physics and Co-convenor, Sri Kumara K. were on the dais.

Mohammed Hussain K Rabinal, in his address said "Bio-molecules is the future of Physics". He narrated the importance of the of bio molecules in electronics.  The enzymes easily bind the chemical molecules, which can be tailored as per the requirement.  

Dr Paul Joseph from NIT Warangal inaugurated the conference. The conference is organised by the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Physics of the College in association with the Association of Physics Teachers of Mangalore University (APTMU).

Dr A. P. Radhakrishna, President of APTMU, was the guest of honour. Rev. Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, Rector, St Aloysius College Institutions presided over the function. Rev. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Principal delivered the message.

Dr Ronald Nazareth, Co-ordinator of Star College Scheme, Convenor of the programme, Dr Chandrashekara Shetty, Sri Lawrence Pinto, HOD of Physics and Co-convenor, Sri Kumara K. were on the dais.  

Prof Lawrence Pinto welcomed the gathering. Mr Kumara K, introduced the chief guest for the audience. Dr Chandra Shekhara Shetty, Convener of the conference proposed vote of thanks.
