Postgraduate Studies and Research in Food Science hosted Guest Lecture Series

Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Food Science hosted guest lecture series on 11 April 2022.

The Principal, Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis SJ gave a talk on the importance of food in nutrition and technology and how this is a growing field of study as well as for budding entrepreneurs.  

 Mrs. Saha delivered her talk on “A Critical Analysis on Food Label Policy” where she discussed the emerging transition in nutrition in compliance with food labels and also shared the upcoming food label research conducted among consumers. This was followed by a few questions from the students of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Food Science.

Mr. Farhan Khan shared his journey during his time as a student at St. Aloysius College and his transition from college life to the industrial workforce. This was followed by a few questions from the students of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Food Science.

Pooja Kale and the team began the program with a song for the morning prayer, a Welcome speech by Dr S.N Raghavendra. Ms. Yvette Wilda Jyrwa delivered the talk on the purpose of the guest lecture series and encourage the students to interact with the resource persons. The vote of thanks speech was delivered by Ms Aikya Simha.
