Prof. Prakash P. Karat Endowment Lecture - 2021 was held on Saturday, 20 March  2021 at 2.30 pm at “Fr Robert Sequeira Hall, LCRI Block”, St Aloysius College (Autonomous)  Mangaluru.

Dr T. N. Narayanan, Associate Professor, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Hyderabad,  delivered the lecture on the topic “Role of New Materials in Energy Crisis : Present and Future".  Prof. Manjunatha Pattabhi, Dean of Science Faculty, Mangalore University chaired the Endowment Lecture. Rev. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Principal, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru in his initial remarks stressed the importance of such lectures and he said it is an apt topic in the current scenario. Prof. Prakash P. Karat, Professor, Dept. of Post Graduate Studies in Physics, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru was present during the lecture.

The lecture was attended by university professors, research scholars, alumni , physics teachers of various colleges and students.  

The endowment lecture is organised by students of Prof. Prakash P Karat and his admirers in association with the department of Physics, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.
