Aloysius College Swimming Pool

The Olympic-standard Swimming Pool Complex of St Aloysius Institutions was inaugurated on the College campus on Monday, 19 December, 2016.

The eight-lane swimming pool was blessed by Fr Jerome Stanislaus D’Souza, Provincial, Karnataka Jesuit Province and Rev. Dr Henry D'Souza, Bishop of Bellary Diocese.

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, Sri U.T. Khader inaugurated the new swimming pool while Terence D'Sa, alumni of the college inaugurated the baby pool.

About the Swimming Pool
The Aloysius Swimming Pool of Olympic standard is the first of its kind in the region. It is dedicated to the city as it will be able to host major events that require national or international level facilities. The main pool is 50 meters long and 25 meters wide and the complex is also equipped with a kids’ pool and other necessary infrastructure. This Swimming Pool is complete with state-of-the-art features such as an ozone purification plant, gallery, changing room, and parking area. This new eight-lane swimming pool has been built at a cost of Rs. 8 crore. The pool has all the facilities to host National and International swimming events.

The swimming pool will be open between 6:00 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. There will be subsidized charges for staff and students of the college. The college will collect nominal charges for each session from others. Monthly, half yearly, yearly passes will be issued to users.

The Swimming Pool will be CLOSED on EVERY MONDAY.
